Beverly Hills State of the City

In light of the “Council tradition of fiscal prudence” (according to Beverly Hills Mayor Willie Brien in his State of the City address), we wonder whether $330k for a temporary ice skating rink and $100K+ for a snowfall on Rodeo bolsters that tradition. Or the millions shoveled into our Parking Operations Fund. ($40 million in the hole through 2012.) Wouldn’t a few bucks for bike racks and bike lanes be a more prudent investment?
