Traffic and Parking Commission: Road Safety Not our Purview

Two Traffic and Parking commissioners sit on our SM Blvd blue-ribbon committee. They heard riders talk about the need for bike lanes. They also heard that riders are over-represented in collision injuries. Yet incoming Chair Andy Licht and commissioner Lester Friedmann said ‘no’ to bike lanes on Tuesday.
