Hit & Run Will Be Called a Crime, Says City of LA

City of Los Angeles Public Safety Committee recently agreed to urge LAPD to use “crime” when describing and reporting hit-and-run incidents. We never call collisions ‘accidents’ because they’re entirely preventable. Likewise drivers need not flee. About 15 drivers flee the scene after collisions in Beverly Hills every month. So let’s call them out as common criminals too.
