We’ve worked with the Westside Cities Council of Governments for the better part of two years to bring pro-bike improvements to member cities and increase awareness of cycling among the public. Advocates have met three times with staff and called for a website to get our message out, but to date we’ve got nothing to show for it. But in record time the COG created the Energize the Westside [update: now defunct] campaign to hip homeowners to efficiency rebates and scheduled a round of ‘green teas’ to promote. Where’s the love for energy-efficient cycling and road safety for cyclists? We’re not feeling it….
