Westside COG Goes Dark for August

What with the myriad transportation problems facing the Westside of Los Angeles, you would think that the Westside Cities Council of Governments would have plenty on its transportation plate. The bike plan coordination initiative alone should be enough to keep the COG busy. Seeing as how there’s not been much progress since our last meeting with staff in May, summer is opportune to get that effort up to speed.  But the COG is taking the month of August off. Since the July meeting of the COG board produced little in the way of guidance to staff, we didn’t expect much anyway, so we won’t hold our breadth. But as committees meet only every other month, we’ll now have to wait until October to learn if any progress is likely to be made.
